there needs to be more stuff with lesbians/bi girls for lesbians/bi girls as opposed to stuff with lesbian/bi girls for straight men.

Finn Hudson, having completed his teaching program, engages his students on the playground.

No…no what?
No more answers to your asks, nonnie?
Sure, I can do that!
(Please don’t send me another ask or if you do, at least do it with your username attached. I do think I’ve explained myself, and I’m not kidding about the anxiety. Sending me three asks with ‘no’, ‘wrong’ and ‘Owen is not a rapist’ helps no one.)
| raggedybearcat Ugh, I'm glad they acknowledged that it was a poor decision. Because yeah, I think anyone is fully within their rights to feel uncomfortable with him and dislike him for it. It makes me feel really uncomfortable liking him (I just have a habitual fondness for the snarky-bastard-with-tortured-backstory trope ;-;). Oh well, hopefully the writers learn from their mistakes :/ |
I’m pretty sure someone said they regretted it, either a writer or maybe one of the actors, because it did have a bit of a backlash at one point in the early days. I knew an Owen fan once who considered those scenes with Owen in that episode no longer canon after something happened, so I’m sure someone did. So here’s hoping they learnt from it!
I think it’s fine to like characters who are problematic, if you’re aware why they are and are okay with people having other opinions of them. (I could go off topic and talk about several of my favourites at this point i.e. Xander Harris, the love-potion brewing Nice Guy).
